Cao Pagoda
Hà Nội(Chùa Cao)
Overview & history
Cao Pagoda, also known as Linh Thông Pagoda, is located in Ninh Sơn hamlet, Chúc Sơn township. The resident abbot is Venerable Thích Đạo Phong. The pagoda is situated on the summit of Phượng Hoàng Mountain (also called Ninh Mountain), and thanks to its elevated position, visitors to the pagoda can enjoy panoramic views of Chúc Sơn township and the surrounding communes.
Currently, the pagoda has been faithfully restored and solemnly renovated by Venerable Thích Đạo Phong. The pagoda also houses a bell weighing 1.5 tonnes, which is the heaviest bell in the area. The road leading up to the pagoda has been repaired and improved thanks to the contributions of local villagers and pilgrims from afar, and now visitors can drive their cars right up to the pagoda courtyard. When visiting the pagoda, guests can enjoy the fresh, tranquil air, as if escaping the noisy, bustling everyday world to immerse themselves in the peaceful, sacred atmosphere. Listening to the sound of the pagoda bell, everyone feels serene and at ease.
