Từ Vân Pagoda
Khánh Hòa(Chùa Từ Vân)

Overview & history
Từ Vân Pagoda, also known as Shell Pagoda or Coral Pagoda, is located on 3/4 Street, Cam Linh Ward, Khánh Hòa Province. The pagoda was built in 1968, featuring unique architectural elements constructed by the resident monks themselves.
Design and Construction
The highlights of the pagoda are the Bảo Tích Stupa and the 18 Levels of Hell.
• The Bảo Tích Stupa is built from stacked pieces of coral, combined with seashells and conch shells, creating a space imbued with the essence of the sea.
• The 18 Levels of Hell are constructed from coral stone, with the exterior encircled by a dragon motif, stretching about 500 metres.
In 1995, Venerable Thích Thông Anh, abbot of Từ Vân Pagoda, together with the monks of the pagoda, personally designed and constructed the stupa by hand, a process that took five years to complete. The stupa is 39 metres high and has eight doors symbolising the "Eightfold Path" (including: right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration).
